What is PunkStrategy?
Origin and transaction mechanism
PunkStrategy launched in September 2025 as an experimental art project. No token supply was reserved for the team at launch. Trades routed through its Uniswap v4 hook incur a 10% fee. Eight percentage points fund CryptoPunk acquisitions, one supports FundingWorks NFT holders and one goes to the TokenWorks team. Trading outside that hook is not forced to pay the same fee. The protocol holds acquired CryptoPunks through its contract-based strategy.
NFT strategy and ecosystem role
CryptoPunks acquired by the strategy can be relisted for resale under its trading mechanism. The strategy connects NFT purchases with an ERC-20 token that trades separately from the individual collectibles. Trading income and deployment fees from new TokenStrategy products contribute to PNKSTR purchases and burns. Burning removes purchased tokens from available supply. The documentation describes the PunkStrategy contract as renounced. The token's ecosystem role extends to fees generated by additional strategy deployments. Its mechanism depends on actual routed trading and strategy activity.
