What is AtomOne?
Chain and governance
AtomOne uses a proof-of-stake validator network. Its governance framework includes an on-chain constitution. Individual stakers vote rather than automatically transferring their voting power to validators. The initial community allocation distributed approximately 96.998 million ATONE to Cosmos Hub addresses. That allocation is distinct from a permanent maximum-supply limit.
Staking role
ATONE secures the network through staking. Delegators allocate their ATONE stake to selected network validators. Network modules manage staking, rewards and slashing. A minting module governs new coin issuance. ATONE therefore has both security and governance functions.
PHOTON conversion
PHOTON is the network's normal transaction-fee token. Users create PHOTON by irreversibly burning ATONE. Its conversion rate depends on remaining PHOTON issuance capacity and the ATONE supply. PHOTON has a maximum supply of one billion. That limit belongs to PHOTON rather than ATONE.
