What is Mixin?
Overview
Mixin Network functions as an operating system for distributed cross-chain transactions across digital assets. It addresses blockchain scalability limitations by enabling high transaction throughput and fast settlement. The network allows Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other blockchains to achieve concurrent processing with second-level confirmation times.
How it works
Mixin uses Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and Byzantine Fault Tolerant Directed Acyclic Graph (BFT-DAG) technology as its consensus mechanism. This architecture allows the network to process transactions at scale while maintaining peer-to-peer settlement without traditional intermediaries.
Token and supply
XIN is the native token of Mixin Network with a fixed total supply of 1 million tokens and no maximum supply cap. Token contracts are deployed on both Ethereum and Solana, enabling multi-chain utility.
