What is Backpack?
Product and launch
Backpack operates a cryptocurrency exchange and a self-custody wallet. BP is associated with that wider product ecosystem. Its token-generation event took place on Solana. The declared total supply is 1 billion BP. The launch released 250 million tokens. Backpack points participants received 240 million, while Mad Lads holders received 10 million.
Staking benefits
BP can be staked within Backpack's supported system. Benefits include exchange-fee reductions and specified account services. The current withdrawal process uses a seven-day unstaking period. Staking history also matters for the program connected to equity access. At least one year of staking is required for that opportunity. Access remains subject to the program's terms. BP ownership itself does not represent ownership of Backpack company shares.
Future distribution
A further 37.5% of the supply is reserved for distributions linked to pre-IPO growth milestones. These releases depend on qualifying events rather than a simple monthly unlock schedule. The final 37.5% belongs to the corporate treasury allocation. That treasury allocation is locked until one year after an IPO. The announced equity program sets aside up to 20% of company equity for qualifying conversion opportunities.
