What is Bedrock?
Restaking products
Bedrock creates liquid tokens representing assets committed to its staking or restaking strategies. Its product family includes uniETH, uniBTC, uniIOTX and brBTC. These positions connect the underlying assets with staking rewards and additional DeFi uses. The receipt tokens and BR have different roles. BR supplies the participation and governance layer around the protocol. It can also be distributed to liquidity providers and other ecosystem contributors.
Governance
Users can commit BR for a specified period to obtain veBR. The vote-escrowed position is non-transferable. Its voting power supports decisions on upgrades, emissions, validator selection and treasury management. Bedrock's Proof of Staking Liquidity model connects governance with liquidity incentives. veBR can increase a participant's reward allocation. The documentation organizes voting influence into governance seasons.
Token allocation
The declared BR supply is 1 billion tokens. Its initial circulation was 210 million, or 21% of that allocation. The documented token contract is deployed on BNB Chain. Team and investor allocations had no unlocks during the first year. Subsequent releases follow the project's allocation and vesting framework. Treasury-controlled allocations and future incentives are subject to governance decisions.
