What is Tellor Tributes?

Tellor delivers external information to blockchain applications through staked reporters. Requests identify the data that an application needs, such as an asset price. Reporters submit values, which the protocol aggregates under each query's rules. Applications can request custom data instead of relying solely on a predefined feed catalog. Signed results can be relayed to other chains.
Tellor Layer
Tellor Layer opened its mainnet to the public in August 2025. It is a dedicated Layer 1 built with the Cosmos SDK and Tendermint-style consensus. Validators produce blocks, while reporters contribute the underlying data. TRB can be bridged between its Ethereum token contract and Layer. Delegation supports both validation and reporting duties.
Security and issuance
Participants stake TRB and can lose stake through successful disputes or consensus penalties. Users tip queries to attract reporting. Token holders also participate in the dispute process. Tellor's token economics include ongoing issuance for development and reporting incentives rather than a fixed maximum supply. Consumers can distinguish strongly supported data from weaker reports before accepting a result.
