What is Abey?

Committee and execution

Abey's delegated Proof-of-Stake model lets token holders support validators. Committee members use Byzantine-fault-tolerant agreement to confirm transactions. The Abey Virtual Machine is modeled on Ethereum's execution environment. It supports much of the familiar EVM bytecode and contract tooling. The network's design includes parallel transaction processing. Applications can exchange relevant data within its inter-app framework.

Staking participation

Validators operate nodes and deposit ABEY into the system staking contract. Other holders can delegate tokens through the same staking infrastructure. Participation determines eligibility for the network's reward distribution. The published staking guide includes a lock period before withdrawal. ABEY also supports the gas economy for smart-contract execution. The chain's software provides RPC interfaces for querying staking and reward information.
