What is Adventure Gold?
Loot origins
Adventure Gold originated with the Loot NFT ecosystem. Loot, created by Dom Hofmann, consists of text-based bags of adventurer equipment. The AGLD launch used a community airdrop. Each original Loot bag was eligible to claim 10,000 tokens. Independent developers use Loot as a base for stories and games. Adventure Gold's tools support that shared ecosystem. The project's broader objective includes persistent on-chain game worlds.
Currency and infrastructure
AGLD supports community governance within its own ecosystem. Decisions can address issuance, utility and collaborations. Participating games can adopt it as an in-game currency. The published economic design includes inflation-funded NFT participation rewards. It therefore should not be described using the original issuance as a permanent fixed cap. The project also links AGLD with gas and node incentives for its gaming infrastructure. Its Loot Chain implementation uses an optimistic rollup powered by Caldera. The current website identifies Polygon as that chain's data-availability layer.
