What is Aethir?
Project and technology
Daniel Wang and Mark Rydon co-founded Aethir, whose ATH token listing date was June 12, 2024. The network aggregates GPU capacity from enterprise and other resource owners. Buyers use this capacity for AI training, inference, rendering and gaming workloads. Containers host the available compute resources. Indexers match user requests with suitable capacity. Checker nodes verify advertised specifications and service performance.
Payments and participation
ATH acts as the network's medium for compute payments and incentives. Compute providers register their resources and stake ATH to become eligible to serve requests. Provider stakes can be penalized when service-level requirements are not met. Checkers perform tests at registration, during standby and while services run. Their assessments influence scheduling priority and quality control. Checker license holders are not subject to the same ATH stake requirement as compute providers. Separate staking pools also allow token holders to participate in reward programs.
Token allocation
The published total supply is 42 billion ATH. Ethereum hosts the canonical token contract. Arbitrum is used for compute and checker reward operations. Vesting and reward releases bring allocated tokens into circulation over time. The community allocation includes 15% for checker rewards and 35% for compute-provider rewards. Its tokenomics also describe governance as part of the network's development.
