Trading architecture
The exchange supports options and perpetual futures. Orders are matched offchain and settled onchain. A shared margin account supports multiple products. Its PERPS+ product combines perpetual exposure with option-based protection. The platform also offers an OTC options desk. Automated strategy vaults provide another application of its derivatives infrastructure.
Participation and supply management
AEVO staking unlocks fee discounts and boosted incentives. Staked participation also contributes governance weight. Token holders use proposals and Snapshot votes to govern the protocol. An approved buyback framework links monthly token purchases to exchange-volume tiers. Purchased tokens are divided between burns and treasury reserves. At the lowest documented volume tier, all purchased tokens are burned. At higher tiers, part of the purchase funds staking and trading rewards. The DAO can review and adjust those tiers. The documentation also records a separate sixty-nine-million-token burn.
