What is AUSD?
Issuance
Agora Bermuda Limited issues AUSD under a Class F digital-asset business license from the Bermuda Monetary Authority. The token targets a value of one US dollar. Approved customers can access issuance and redemption through Agora's procedures. Its supply expands or contracts with those operations. Transfers use the blockchain on which a particular AUSD implementation is deployed.
Reserve structure
Agora's reserve description includes short-term US Treasuries, overnight repurchase agreements and other liquid assets. VanEck manages the reserve portfolio. State Street provides custody services. Grant Thornton LLP audits Agora's financial statements. It also supplies independent attestations covering AUSD reserves. The issuer publishes disclosures explaining the conditions of reserve management and redemption.
Uses and economics
AUSD supports cross-border payments and exchange collateral. Tokenized financial products can use it for subscriptions, redemptions and settlement. Credit platforms can also settle obligations in AUSD. Agora's commercial model shares stablecoin economics with participating partners and platforms. Any user reward arrangement depends on the relevant program rather than a fixed interest rate embedded in every token. Direct redemption is governed by customer eligibility and the issuer's contractual terms.
