What is AltLayer?

AltLayer offers rollup deployment services using frameworks such as Arbitrum Orbit and the OP Stack. Its restaked-rollup design separates verification, rapid finality and sequencing into services. VITAL addresses verification, MACH addresses finality, and SQUAD addresses sequencing. These services use the actively validated service model associated with EigenLayer. The broader platform also develops agent infrastructure around x402 payments and ERC-8004 identity.
ALT staking
ALT is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. The token launched in January 2024 with a stated supply of 10 billion. The staking system accepts ALT and issues reALT shares. Rewards are paid in ALT. Their rate depends on staking conditions rather than a fixed contractual yield.
Positions and withdrawals
reALT represents participation in the staking system. Holders can delegate supported reALT positions through the restaking interface. Unstaking initiates a 21-day cooldown. Positions do not earn rewards during that unbonding period. Rollup framework choices and service deployment status remain specific to each application using AltLayer.
