What is Amnis Finance?
Overview
Amnis Finance operates as a liquid staking protocol within the Aptos ecosystem. It addresses the limitation of conventional proof-of-stake networks where staked tokens become illiquid, preventing users from deploying capital in other opportunities. Users stake APT and receive equivalent-value tokens in return, enabling them to participate in trading and other activities without waiting periods or unstaking processes.
How it works
The protocol operates on the Aptos blockchain. When users stake APT tokens, they immediately receive liquid tokens representing their staked position, allowing the underlying value to be used across the network while participating in proof-of-stake validation and earning rewards.
Token and supply
AMI is the governance token with a maximum supply of 1 billion. Total supply equals the maximum supply. The token facilitates governance decisions within the protocol and is classified as a governance token within the liquid staking category.
