What is Anoma?
Technology and issuance
Anoma lets applications express desired outcomes as intents. Its Resource Machine supplies a resource-based state and execution model. Protocol adapters connect this system to underlying blockchains. An Ethereum mainnet adapter launched in November 2025. The genesis token allocation contained 10 billion XAN. The distribution reserved 25% for community, marketing and liquidity. Another 19% supported research and ecosystem development.
Governance V2
Anoma Governance V2 launched in September 2026. XAN holders can vote on token functionality, supply and treasury settings. Voting runs through a dedicated OpenZeppelin Governor contract. Holders can delegate their voting power. Locked balances retain voting weight. Balances previously locked under V1 vest linearly over three years from September 29, 2026. Proposals require at least 25,000 XAN to submit. The process includes seven days of review and fourteen days of voting. Passing requires 10% quorum and more votes for than against. Approved proposals then wait fourteen days in a timelock.
