What is APEX?
Three connected networks
Prime is Apex Fusion's anchor blockchain and token issuance layer. It provides the ecosystem's liquid staking security base. Vector is a UTXO execution network optimized for lower fees. Nexus provides account-based execution compatible with Ethereum applications. Vector and Nexus use permissioned validator sets with shorter processing intervals.
Native asset
AP3X pays transaction fees across the Fusion ecosystem. Holders can delegate it to Prime staking pools. Staking supports network security and generates validator rewards. The Reactor router transfers assets between Fusion networks. Bridged AP3X representations also exist on external chains.
Issuance and precision
The documented supply is three billion AP3X. New AP3X is minted exclusively on Prime. The token's smallest unit is called DFM. UTXO and EVM environments use different decimal precision. Crosschain conversions therefore apply rounding rules. Validator participation and governance influence the network's issuance parameters.
