What is Arcanus?
Overview
Arcanus functions as a dePIN network for encrypted communications built on Arc Mainnet. It enables users to establish encrypted tunnels through geographically distributed independent nodes, make wallet-based voice calls without carriers, send sealed mail, and use live messaging—all from a unified dashboard. The protocol is designed for individuals and organizations requiring privacy-first communication infrastructure rather than traditional VPN subscriptions.
How it works
The network operates on Arc Mainnet and allows users to select available city nodes, pay for capacity, and import VPN configuration files (WireGuard or V2Ray format) into the official application. Voice calls operate directly between wallet addresses without SIM cards or carrier involvement. End-to-end encryption is established at the device level, preventing network operators from viewing plaintext data—they only observe transaction receipts and connection requests.
Token and supply
ARCANUS has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens and a total supply of approximately 971.5 million. The token is used to pay for network capacity and services on the protocol. Native USDC on Arc covers transaction gas fees.
