What is ARPA?
Threshold signatures
ARPA Network uses a threshold BLS signature system. Independent nodes cooperate to produce signatures. A threshold of participants must contribute before the result can be completed. This infrastructure supports services requiring publicly verifiable outputs. Randcast provides on-chain verifiable random numbers. Developers access it through APIs and consumer contracts. Applications can request randomness without running the underlying signature network themselves.
Staking and applications
Node operators stake ARPA as part of network participation. Other holders can also participate through the staking system. Staked tokens connect operators with the signature-production process. Rewards derive from tasks performed by network nodes. Actual returns depend on network activity and reward parameters. Randcast uses subscriptions to manage requesting applications. Developers fund subscriptions and bind approved consumer contracts. Its tools expose request history, fulfillment status and estimated callback costs.
