What is Aurory?
Overview
Aurory is a turn-based JRPG where players explore the worlds of Antik and Tokané, completing quests and battling creatures in both single-player and competitive modes. The game features Nefties—NFT creatures that can be hatched, evolved, and traded—alongside the Aurorian 10k PFP collection launched in 2021. A zero barrier-to-entry model allows new players to start without purchasing assets, targeting both gamers and crypto participants.
How it works
Aurory runs on the Solana blockchain, leveraging its fast transaction speeds. The game includes a PvE story mode teaching blockchain concepts, PvP competitive modes, and seasonal content releases every six months. An in-game marketplace enables trading of all assets, with deflationary mechanisms built into the economy to balance token supply.
Token and supply
AURY is a multi-utility token with a fixed supply of 100 million. It enables marketplace transactions, egg hatching to obtain Nefties, staking for PvP access, and future governance voting. Two sub-currencies, OKA and TOKE, function as in-game accounting mechanisms for financially invested and free-to-play players respectively, converting weekly to AURY from dedicated reward pools.
Team and history
Aurory was co-founded in 2021 by Yann Penno, Creative Art Director with 14 years of game industry experience, and Sym (Paul), Marketing and Operations Lead. The team grew to 60 members by May 2022, including former staff from Ubisoft, EA, and Gameloft.
