What is BEM?
Overview
TapeOut protocol allows developers to build and verify digital circuits directly on blockchain. Users construct logic circuits from basic components called NAND and LATCH (ERC-1155 tokens), wire them on a canvas, and record the completed circuit as an ERC-721 NFT with its netlist stored on-chain. BEM demonstrates this capability as the protocol's first production-tool miner token.
How it works
BEM operates on BNB Chain. New tokens are issued through Proof of Design (PoD), a mechanism that rewards circuit design activity. The mining contract is permanently sealed and immutable, with no owner, upgrade capability, pause function, or blacklist.
Token and supply
BEM has a fixed maximum supply of 21 million tokens with 8 decimal places. Token emission halves approximately every four years through the sealed mining contract. There was no pre-mine, team allocation, or whitelist—the launch was conducted fairly with only the immutable mining contract able to mint new tokens.
