What is Boundless?
Overview
Boundless brings zero-knowledge computation to every blockchain by allowing developers to create expressive applications that bypass traditional scaling limitations. Developers submit proof requests to a decentralized network of competing provers who earn rewards for fulfilling them. The protocol abstracts away the complexity of proof generation, aggregation, and onchain settlement, enabling builders to focus on applications while provers ensure liveness guarantees and censorship-resistance.
How it works
The protocol decouples execution from consensus, introducing a verifiable computing model where proof requests are fulfilled by independent provers competing in an open market. As more prover nodes join the network, total protocol capacity increases, allowing compute to scale across multiple chains. Direct rewards and protocol-level incentives through proof of verifiable work drive prover participation and continuous cost improvements.
Token and supply
