What is Brevis?
Proof marketplace
Brevis supports general-purpose proving and data-coprocessor workloads. ProverNet connects applications requesting proofs with operators supplying computation. Auctions determine the price of that work. The marketplace reached mainnet on January 6, 2026. Proof-generation, verification and settlement fees are paid in BREV.
Security and participation
Provers stake BREV to qualify for jobs. Delegators can assign stake to professional provers and participate in the resulting fee income. Larger effective stakes can qualify an operator for more demanding workloads. Service failures can expose the assigned stake to slashing. Governance controls parameters such as proof-size limits, security requirements and marketplace fees. Initial staking operates on Base.
Allocation
The fixed allocation is one billion BREV. Ecosystem development and community incentives together account for sixty-five point seven percent. Team and investor allocations have a one-year lock followed by two years of linear vesting. Twenty-five percent of the total was designated as circulating at token generation. A dedicated Brevis rollup is a planned later phase, in which BREV would become its native gas currency.
