What is CAD Digital?

Overview

CADD is a fiat-backed digital asset pegged 1:1 to the Canadian Dollar. It functions as a payments token designed for institutional liquidity and settlement efficiency across blockchain networks. Unlike speculative cryptocurrencies, CADD bridges traditional financial infrastructure with blockchain infrastructure, allowing users to transact on-chain while maintaining exposure to CAD.

How it works

CADD operates on multiple blockchains including Ethereum, Base, and Solana, enabling cross-chain settlement and accessibility. Each token is redeemable directly for one Canadian Dollar held in trust. The multi-chain deployment allows institutional users to choose their preferred settlement layer.

Peg and backing

CADD maintains a 1:1 redemption ratio with the Canadian Dollar through direct backing by Tetra Trust, a regulated trust company that holds the corresponding fiat reserves. The token is issued by a regulated financial institution, distinguishing it from other stablecoins. Supply is issued against deposited Canadian Dollar reserves and burned upon redemption.
