What is CargoX?
Origins and token format
CargoX Holding issued CXO through its January 2018 crowdfunding sale. The original token used Ethereum's ERC-20 standard. It was issued as a nonmineable token. The issuer's published history describes a fixed original supply. CXO supported the development of the CargoX Smart B/L platform. The token is distinct from a bill of lading or another document represented by that platform.
Document infrastructure
CargoX's document-transfer system handles electronic bills of lading and related trade records. Blockchain transactions record the transfer of document control. The infrastructure also supports customs-related document workflows. CXO is assigned payment and participation functions in the issuer's utility model. CargoX Holding maintains an open-source relay application. Its relay tooling includes a command-line interface for operators. Relayer participation and token service functions are separate from ownership of CargoX's business.
