Games and token use
Catizen began with a cat-themed mini-game and developed a wider game center. CATI can be used for in-app purchases in supported mini-games. The token is issued as a fungible asset on TON. Catizen Limited handles issuance, while the Catizen Foundation provides the project's governance framework. The framework describes community proposals and voting mechanisms whose availability depends on implementation.
Issuance and vesting
One billion CATI were minted. Airdrops and launchpool distribution receive 43% of the supply. The team receives 20%, treasury 15%, investors 10%, advisors 7%, and liquidity and market making 5%. At launch, 30.5% of the total supply entered circulation. The initial player airdrop accounted for 15% of total supply. Team, investor and advisor allocations began with twelve-month cliffs. Those allocations then release linearly over forty-eight months.
