What is Enso?
Actions and Shortcuts
Enso organizes blockchain interactions as reusable Actions. Developers can combine these into Shortcuts that perform several operations together. The system supports workflows across different protocols and chains. Applications can use it to construct transactions without implementing each integration separately. This infrastructure is designed to reduce fragmentation between liquidity and services. Validators check that requests and proposed solutions meet the network's rules.
Staking and validation
Validators stake ENSO to participate in the network. Their work includes validating requests and checking solutions. Staked tokens provide an economic commitment to correct behavior. Slashing is part of the accountability framework. ENSO staking was activated during the network's initial validator phase. The project subsequently reported completion of its first reward epoch. Additional network roles and capabilities are intended to expand in later phases. The token's validator role is distinct from the assets swapped or deposited through an Enso-generated transaction.
