What is Euler?
Vaults and decision-making
Euler lets applications compose lending markets through configurable vaults. Depositors supply assets to those markets. Borrowers use eligible collateral under the relevant vault rules. EUL holders vote on protocol and treasury decisions. Governance voting and execution from a treasury wallet are separate steps. Token rewards have supported protocol participation since the 2021 soft launch. EUL itself is separate from a receipt for deposited lending assets.
Supply and inactive fee auctions
The published token supply is 27,182,818 EUL. Its contract includes an administrative minting allowance. That permission can issue up to 2.718% once per 365-day interval. The displayed supply should therefore not be described as an immutable hard cap. Fee Flow was designed to sell collected fee assets for EUL. Current documentation marks that auction system inactive. Protocol fees are presently set to zero. The design's EUL payment would go to a configured receiver. Payment does not itself burn EUL.
