What is IQ?
From encyclopedia to agents
The IQ token launched in 2018. Its original use centered on contributions to Everipedia. IQ.wiki continues the project’s crypto knowledge function. The wider ecosystem now includes AIDEN and the Agent Tokenization Platform. ATP launched on Fraxtal in February 2025. It supports tokenized AI agents and their on-chain activity. IQ participates in this agent economy through its fee and staking model. Part of relevant fee revenue is designated for burns, with another portion supporting stakers.
Governance and issuance
BrainDAO governs the IQ ecosystem. Holders can lock IQ through HiIQ. Lock amounts and durations determine voting weight. The framework supports locks of up to four years. HiIQ positions are non-transferable. IQ’s emission model includes halvings every four years. The current stated supply cap is 60 billion tokens. Emissions support stakers, contributors and ecosystem development. Treasury assets support the DAO’s activities but do not create a fixed redemption value for each IQ token.
