What is Extra Finance?
Overview
Extra Finance allows users to deploy capital in leveraged yield farming strategies or deposit into lending pools to generate returns. The protocol serves yield farmers and liquidity providers seeking customized exposure and interest-bearing opportunities in decentralized finance.
How it works
The protocol is deployed on Optimism and Base networks. Users can implement tailored farming strategies with up to 4x leverage or participate in lending pools. The platform provides tools for strategy simulation and calculation to assist users in decision-making.
Token and supply
Extra Finance operates with two tokens: EXTRA, an ERC-20 utility token distributed as rewards to liquidity providers, and veEXTRA, an ERC-20 governance token obtained by vote-escrowing EXTRA holdings. veEXTRA holders receive protocol fee distributions, a portion of EXTRA emissions, and governance voting rights. Maximum supply is capped at 1 billion EXTRA tokens.
Team and history
The protocol launched on Optimism mainnet in May 2023, following a testnet phase in March 2023.
