What is Falcon USD?
Protocol and collateral
Falcon Finance opened its public platform in April 2025. Falcon Digital Limited, incorporated in the British Virgin Islands, operates the issuing framework. Customers can provide approved stablecoins or other accepted crypto assets to mint USDf. Eligible stablecoin deposits use a one-to-one minting model. Volatile collateral requires an overcollateralized position instead.
Backing and peg
Falcon's framework combines collateral management with hedged market strategies. These include funding-rate and arbitrage positions alongside other permitted portfolio activities. Its accepted collateral has expanded to include tokenized financial assets. Approved users can mint and redeem under the platform's verification procedures. Creation and redemption at the dollar reference value provide an arbitrage route when secondary-market prices diverge.
Yield-bearing wrapper
USDf can be deposited into a separate ERC-4626 vault to obtain sUSDf. This receipt token represents a claim on the vault's USDf-denominated assets. Returns are reflected in the exchange ratio between sUSDf and USDf. Holding ordinary USDf does not automatically provide the same accumulating vault exposure. Supply expands or contracts through minting and redemption, while the ecosystem's FF token serves a separate role.
