What is Falcon Finance?
Protocol and role
Falcon Finance issues USDf against accepted collateral and provides a separate yield-bearing product, sUSDf. FF launched on September 29, 2025. It is the ecosystem asset associated with those products rather than the dollar-pegged token itself. Falcon's token design links FF to participation incentives, staking and future protocol decisions. Planned benefits include reduced minting collateral ratios and discounted swap fees.
Staking
Users can stake FF to receive sFF at a one-to-one ratio. The receipt records a staked FF position. Staking can earn FF rewards and increase multipliers in Falcon's Miles program. Unstaking has a three-day cooldown. Rewards stop accruing to the amount being withdrawn during that period. The documentation describes sFF governance rights as a future feature.
Distribution
The launch allocation totals 10 billion FF. Ecosystem development receives 35%, while the foundation receives 24%. Core contributors and the team receive 20%, with a one-year cliff followed by three years of vesting. Investors receive 4.5% under the same cliff and vesting structure. Community airdrops, the launchpad sale and marketing account for the remaining allocation. The declared circulating amount at launch was 2.34 billion FF.
