What is Figure Heloc?
Origin and use
Figure was co-founded in 2018 by Mike Cagney and June Ou. Its HELOC business originates home-equity lines of credit backed by residential property. Blockchain records support the financing, transfer and sale of these loans through Figure's lending infrastructure.
Technology and backing
Loan records and transactions are tracked on Provenance Blockchain, with smart contracts supporting validation and settlement. The underlying assets are credit obligations secured by property. Borrower repayments, collateral and loan terms determine the credit exposure; Figure Connect supports whole-loan sales and securitization.
