What is Fogo?
Execution and validators
Fogo supports permissionless application deployment. Its runtime follows the SVM execution model. The network uses a customized Firedancer client for transaction processing. Validators operate in infrastructure centers selected for performance and resilience. Applications can sponsor transaction charges for their users.
Issuance and participation
The genesis allocation totaled ten billion FOGO. That genesis figure is not a permanent maximum supply. The published monetary model creates additional tokens at 2% annual inflation. These emissions reward validators and delegators. FOGO pays network gas charges. Allocations also cover community distributions, contributors, advisors and the foundation. Investor and contributor allocations have lockups followed by vesting. Foundation programs support ecosystem projects through grants and investments. Revenue-sharing arrangements with participating projects are part of the foundation's published model.
