What is Fractal Bitcoin?
Bitcoin-based design
Fractal uses Bitcoin's core code and address model. Its target block interval is thirty seconds. The network supports Bitcoin-style token and inscription applications. OP_CAT expands the available scripting operations. FB pays for activity on Fractal's own blockchain.
Mining rules
Fractal uses SHA256d Proof of Work. Cadence Mining combines several block-production modes. Current documentation lists permissionless, merged-mined and indexing-mined blocks in each three-block cycle. Merged mining lets Bitcoin miners contribute to Fractal while mining Bitcoin. The regular halving interval is 2.1 million blocks.
Supply and allocation
The published supply limit is 210 million FB. Half is allocated to mining. The ecosystem treasury receives 15%, with community grants assigned 10%. Presale and adviser allocations each receive 5%, while core contributors receive 15%. At block 2.1 million, the scheduled and brought-forward halvings reduce the reward from 25 to 6.25 FB.
