What is Fren Pet?
A pet with onchain progression
Players adopt pets through the app. Newly minted pets begin as eggs with common starting statistics. Attack and defense values develop through game activities. Pets need feeding before their survival timer expires. Feeding resets that timer. Successful attacks can unlock mushrooms used as food. FP staking upgrades also develop pets and reset the feeding timer.
Game spending and token distribution
Paid actions automatically purchase FP for the game's burn or treasure mechanisms. Mushroom purchases burn all FP used for that action. Other paid activities include reviving pets and buying passes. The original token distribution used a BaseSwap pool. Each player initially faced a purchase limit of 5,000 FP. The team received no advance token allocation under that distribution. Fren Pet's second version uses the EIP-2535 diamond contract architecture. Its NFT pet contract and FP token remain separate assets.
