What is GenesisL1?
Overview
GenesisL1 is a live, permissionless proof-of-stake Layer 1 blockchain infrastructure designed for decentralized science, bioinformatics, verifiable data and machine learning applications. The network enables researchers, developers and institutions to publish and tokenize datasets, molecular structures and computational models while maintaining independently inspectable execution records. Users can manage programmable rights to digital assets, perform deterministic on-chain inference and build applications with transparent audit trails.
How it works
GenesisL1 combines Cosmos SDK and CometBFT consensus with an integrated Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), enabling both Solidity smart contracts and native blockchain features. The chain supports Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) for cross-chain interoperability, staking mechanisms and on-chain governance. All model inputs, versions, execution records and outputs remain independently verifiable by network participants.
Token and supply
L1 is the network's native asset used for transaction fees, validator staking, governance voting and community pool funding. The token has a total supply of 47.5 million with no stated maximum supply cap. L1 can optionally be used for application-level settlement and is tradeable on decentralized exchanges including Uniswap V3 on Base and Osmosis.
