What is Gradients?
Training access
Users select a model and dataset through the Gradients interface. An API offers a programmatic route to creating training jobs. Dataset columns can be mapped to the requested task. Training results can be monitored through Weights & Biases. Completed models can be accessed through Hugging Face. The platform also presents community-trained image models.
Subnet operation
The G.O.D runtime coordinates the subnet’s training jobs and tournaments. Miners submit training repositories for supported task types. Trainer services execute submitted work on GPUs. Validators create tasks and coordinate the participating infrastructure. They evaluate results and set subnet weights. Tournament performance feeds that weight-setting process. The runtime includes text, image and environment task categories. Gradients’ token identity is tied to Subnet 56 within Bittensor’s subnet economy. The service is distinct from unrelated projects using the Gradient name.
