What is Provenance Blockchain?
Financial infrastructure
Provenance Blockchain uses the Cosmos SDK and proof-of-stake consensus. Its modules support asset issuance, transfers and financial settlement. Applications can attach administrative controls to particular assets. Those controls allow issuers to manage permissions and lifecycle events where a financial product requires them. HASH is the network asset rather than a share in each tokenized product. Validators and delegators stake HASH to participate in network security.
Fees and token flows
The network's fee model emphasizes prices denominated in US dollars and settled in HASH. This separates the quoted service price from changes in the token's market price. The HASH Marketplace receives 40% of network fees and all settlement fees under the published current model. Participants can bid HASH for assets offered in its on-chain auctions. Winning bids are burned. Validator compensation and marketplace auctions are distinct destinations for network revenue.
Issuance
The original issuance comprised 100 billion HASH. The current token economy includes adaptive inflation rather than a permanently fixed supply. Its published inflation range is 1% to 52.5%, depending on the proportion staked. A 60% staking ratio corresponds to the minimum stated rate. Token issuance and auction burns can therefore act in opposite directions. Additional allocation programs reward milestones and active participation.
