What is Hydranet?

Overview

Hydranet is a fully decentralized exchange platform that enables peer-to-peer trading across blockchains without intermediaries. It addresses the blockchain trilemma by using off-chain protocols—the Lithium Network for EVM blockchains and integration with Bitcoin's Lightning Network—rather than sidechains. Traders gain instant confirmations, zero network fees, and the ability to trade across different blockchains while maintaining full custody of assets.

How it works

Hydranet operates through off-chain state channels that settle on-chain. The platform offers multiple interfaces: simplified one-click trading for casual users and order book or API access for advanced traders. Two node types maintain network operations: Titans host the off-chain order book and match trades, while Guardians monitor behavior and enforce protocol rules.

Token and supply

HDN is the native token of Hydranet and serves as collateral for node operators. Token holders can lock HDN to operate as Titans or Guardians, receiving rewards for maintaining network infrastructure. Maximum supply is 300 million HDN.
