What is iMe Lab?
Overview
iMe Lab is a messaging application built on Telegram's API that incorporates an embedded crypto wallet and decentralized finance capabilities. Users can transfer cryptocurrencies to contacts using Telegram handles in seconds, without requiring traditional wallet addresses. The platform integrates with multiple blockchain networks and exchanges, including Uniswap, PancakeSwap, Binance, and other DEX and CEX platforms, while supporting features like NFT avatars, marketplaces, and community reward mechanisms.
How it works
iMe operates as a superapplication offering Telegram's standard messaging features alongside a multi-chain wallet interface. It supports Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Cardano, Polkadot, Solana, and other blockchains. The wallet integrates direct access to decentralized exchanges, centralized exchange deposit functionality, card-based cryptocurrency purchases through Simplex, and WalletConnect compatibility.
Token and supply
LIME is a utility token deployed on multiple chains (ERC-20, BEP-20, Polygon) used to enable in-app features including NFT creation and publication, marketplace promotion, group/channel publication, CryptoBoxes, gas payments in LIME, and governance voting. Token holders can stake LIME for rewards and participate in ecosystem decisions through DAO voting. Maximum supply is capped at 996.1 million tokens with no additional issuance planned. Tokens received from monetization are frozen to reduce circulating supply over time.
Team and history
iMe Lab was launched on April 16, 2019, by founders Alexander Borutskiy (Ph.D. in economics, 20 years in IT) and Alex Barhat (software engineer with crypto experience since 2014). The international core team consists of developers based across Cyprus, Russia, Spain, Ukraine, Britain, Slovakia, India, and other countries.
