What is Inverse Finance?
Overview
Inverse Finance operates as a decentralized autonomous organization providing fixed-rate lending infrastructure and stablecoin services. The protocol serves borrowers seeking fixed-rate loans of unlimited duration and users who want to hold or stake a collateralized stablecoin. DOLA is over-collateralized with assets like stETH and WBTC, distinguishing it from algorithmic stablecoins.
How it works
FiRM, the Fixed Rate Market, is the core lending protocol where borrowers access fixed rates through a mechanism called DOLA Borrowing Rights. Personal Collateral Escrows segregate different tokens and users, preventing co-mingling of collateral. sDOLA is a yield-bearing variant that distributes revenue from FiRM borrowing and third-party lending deployments to stakers.
Token and supply
INV is the governance token for Inverse Finance, enabling on-chain governance decisions and revenue sharing for token stakers. The total supply is approximately 727 thousand INV with no maximum supply cap. INV is tradeable on decentralized exchanges including Curve and Balancer.
Team and history
Inverse Finance was founded in late 2020 by Nour Haridy. The codebase is open-source and maintained by the community.
