What is Keep Network?
Cryptographic services
Keep was designed to connect public blockchain applications with private data. Its off-chain containers, called keeps, store encrypted information. Distributed operators provide the cryptographic services behind them. The project’s technology also contributed to tBTC. That bridge brings Bitcoin-linked assets into Ethereum applications. KEEP was used to stake economic collateral for network operation. The development team now contributes to Threshold and its Bitcoin infrastructure.
Legacy token and migration
The merged Threshold network was live by early 2022. Its T token became the network’s upgraded asset. KEEP and T remain distinct ERC-20 tokens. The original merger provided an upgrade route from liquid KEEP to T. Legacy stakes also received migration support. Keep’s website directs holders to the Threshold dashboard for upgrades. Its legacy dashboard covers older KEEP positions. The current tBTC product is a separate Bitcoin-backed asset. Holding KEEP does not itself represent a unit of the Bitcoin held by the bridge.
