What is Matrix?

Wallet and identity architecture

The project combines client-side key management with backend services. Its documentation describes readable usernames linked to blockchain addresses. The username design acts as an address directory. It does not itself bridge assets between networks. A proposed marketplace would let users transfer those username assets. The architecture also includes transaction-fee sponsorship. Network-specific mechanisms are intended to let users transact without separately acquiring every chain's gas token.

Token scope and staged delivery

MTX follows Ethereum's ERC-20 format. The documentation connects it with supported application programs. Potential uses include protocol fees and ecosystem incentives where enabled. Contract modules may be deployed progressively. The public site currently labels access as coming soon. Governance signaling is described as a possible future feature. The token does not provide active DAO control or voting shares today. Proposed wallet features and security modules consequently require separate deployment confirmation.
