What is Minima?
Overview
Minima is an embedded, edge-native blockchain infrastructure that allows diverse hardware to participate directly in network validation and block construction. The platform addresses the need for decentralized trust generation at the source of data and activity, rather than through centralized intermediaries. It is positioned for use in decentralized physical networks (DePIN), autonomous systems, and real-world data-driven applications. Minima incorporates quantum-resistant cryptography and supports machine-to-machine coordination.
How it works
Minima operates as a Proof of Work Layer 1 blockchain where individual devices run full nodes, validating transactions and constructing blocks locally. The protocol uses quantum-resilient cryptographic design to secure the network. Beyond the base layer, Minima is developing Integritas, a trust and data integrity framework that provides verifiable data capture, audit trails, and provenance for AI decisions.
Token and supply
MINIMA is the native asset of the Minima blockchain. Maximum supply is capped at 1 billion tokens, with a total supply of approximately 999.98 million. The whitepaper provides details on token issuance and economic mechanics.
