What is Momentum?
Exchange infrastructure
Momentum uses a concentrated-liquidity market-maker design. Liquidity providers select the price ranges in which they supply assets. Traders swap through the available liquidity in those ranges. The platform uses Sui's Move-based smart-contract infrastructure. Its ecosystem also includes MSafe multisignature tooling. The TGL launchpad provides infrastructure for ecosystem token launches.
Locking and governance
MMT can be locked to obtain veMMT voting power. Voting weight depends on both the token quantity and lock duration. The governance framework controls emissions and supported protocol parameters. It also provides participation in ecosystem allocation decisions. The initial token generation event unlocked 20.41% of supply. Public and community distribution accounted for 11.41 percentage points of that amount. Investor allocations have a twelve-month cliff followed by forty-eight months of linear release. Team allocations remain locked for the first forty-eight months.
