Observer enables a global marketplace where individuals and private firms exchange weather observations for cryptocurrency rewards. Data collectors worldwide can monetize measurements from smartphones, portable weather stations, and vehicles. The platform uses blockchain technology to record data details and employs big data analysis to verify quality, creating high-resolution weather datasets previously unavailable at such granularity.

How it works

Observer operates as a smart contract platform built on Kaia and uses Ethash consensus. Data submissions are validated through automated big data analysis techniques, with results permanently recorded on-chain to ensure transparency and accuracy of contributed meteorological information.

Token and supply

OBSR is the native token issued as compensation to data contributors. The maximum supply is fixed at 14 billion tokens. New OBSR tokens are distributed to users who successfully contribute verified weather data to the network.
