What is Opal?
Order execution
The exchange encrypts orders on the client side. Encrypted orders enter short auction windows. Matching and liquidation processing take place inside a trusted execution environment. The design hides orders before settlement. Fills produce onchain records intended to demonstrate execution fairness. API access includes REST and WebSocket interfaces.
Token and fee model
Opal’s production trading interface currently specifies capped deposits. The official site links a Base token deployment ending in eecd1f. Its published fee model pools protocol charges into a distribution contract. That model pays OPAL holders in ETH on a weekly cycle. Actual payments depend on trading activity and the applicable protocol rules. The site’s reward calculator uses a seventy-million-token supply figure. That displayed figure is not presented here as an immutable contract cap. Token participation remains separate from opening a leveraged trading position.
