What is OpenGradient?
AI execution
OpenGradient separates AI computation from the verification and settlement of its results. Its infrastructure supports machine learning execution and access to large language model APIs. Large language model requests are routed through registered trusted execution environments. Hardware attestation connects an approved execution environment with its signing keys. The network records verification-related information onchain.
Payments and applications
The documented large language model service charges OPG on Base. It uses the x402 payment flow to verify payment before fulfilling a request. The OpenGradient network handles TEE registration, execution coordination and proof settlement, separately from the payment chain. Developers can use a Python SDK to manage the payment and request flow. Other ecosystem components include a model hub and persistent memory infrastructure for AI applications.
Token allocation
The published total allocation is one billion OPG. Forty percent is assigned to ecosystem development, with separate foundation, contributor and investor allocations. Staking rewards account for ten percent and are scheduled over ninety-six months. Contributor and investor allocations have a twelve-month cliff followed by linear vesting. Liquidity and launch resources and the airdrop are separate allocation categories. The foundation also identifies governance and ecosystem incentives as token roles.
