What is Orbs?
Execution layer
Orbs began developing its blockchain infrastructure in 2017. Its current Layer 3 model extends applications running on Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks. Independent operators execute logic outside the applications' base-chain contracts. Their work supports order execution and other backend services. The underlying application blockchain still handles its own transaction settlement.
Trading products
dLIMIT adds limit-order execution to decentralized exchanges. dTWAP divides larger orders into scheduled trades. dSLTP supports stop-loss and take-profit orders. Perpetual Hub provides infrastructure for leveraged trading. These products use Orbs' execution layer within integrated exchange applications.
Token economics
The original ORBS allocation totaled ten billion tokens. The published design uses a fixed pre-issued supply. ORBS supports payment for network services and staking participation. Delegators select Guardian operators through the proof-of-stake system. A governance vote approved establishment of the Orbs DAO in August 2026.
