What is OrdoFi?
Overview
OrdoFi addresses MEV extraction on Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum Nitro rollup with a single sequencer and no public mempool where latency-based backrunning is the primary form of extractive behavior. Users submit transactions through OrdoFi's protected gateway, which simulates transactions before forwarding them directly to the sequencer to prevent reverts and avoid broadcasting to third parties. The system is designed for traders and applications seeking MEV protection on Robinhood Chain's fast-block environment.
How it works
OrdoFi operates as a gateway between users and the sequencer, performing three core functions: simulating raw transactions from their sender before forwarding to prevent failures, running a sealed-bid second-price auction for the right to trade immediately after transactions that interact with pools, and anchoring bids and receipts to an on-chain log under EIP-712 signatures for verifiability. Backrun auctions close within 200 milliseconds; the user's transaction executes first, followed by the winning bid. An independent watcher measures backrun extraction across venues and publishes the results.
