OVER operates a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) that incentivizes users to map high-traffic locations using standard mobile devices and 360-degree cameras. How it works
Mappers contribute location data using common smartphones and cameras, earning OVR tokens as compensation. The collected 3D map data trains machine learning models for robotics and other AI applications, while also powering a visual positioning system (VPS) API that offers precise location determination across mapped areas. The platform includes an XR publishing layer where OVRLand NFT holders can publish geo-localized augmented reality experiences accessible through the OVER app, QR codes, smart glasses, and other devices.
Token and supply
OVR is the native utility token and primary medium of exchange on the platform, used to compensate mappers, purchase OVRLand spatial domains, and drive ecosystem growth. The maximum supply is capped at approximately 89.9 million tokens. Revenue from commercial B2B services is reinvested into the ecosystem through token buybacks and burns.
